Entering In the scary Beijing glass lift with jet lag was double worrying. A red Santa figure was already in there – looking back at me thru circular spectacles. I went to speak but then realised it was a life size dummy placed for observers of the lift.

Mr Turner in the evening – never could get to grips with either the director or the actor but I must say not a bad attempt at a part of Turners life…(the cinema thing)
